Our research focus is to investigate the phylogeny and evolutionary mechanisms of fossil and modern primates, including humans. Studies in paleoprimatology, comparative and functional morphology are carried out both in Japan and abroad in cooperation with researchers in paleomammalogy, geology, and geochemistry. Overseas projects are currently carried out in many quaters of the globe.
